Payment Options Available

We also offer payment plans to help you spread out the cost of your barber school or beauty school education while enrolled in one of our programs. You can arrange a payment plan for the remaining balance with the financial aid office by scheduling an appointment with their team.
Students can pay for their training in multiple ways for their convenience. LaBarberia Institute of Hair accepts tuition payments via:

Money order
Personal checks
Title IV funds (if applicable)
VA benefits (if applicable).

How To Apply for Federal Financial Aid

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Enter the LaBarberia Institute of Hair school code: 042257
The Financial Aid Administrator will receive the information from your FAFSA and create an Award Letter that tells you what aid you will be offered at LaBarberia Institute of Hair. They may request additional documentation before creating your Award Letter.
If you accept the award, your account will be credited toward tuition and fees before funds are disbursed to you directly.

What Are My Financial Aid Options?

LaBarberia Institute of Hair encourages prospective students to explore all their financial aid options! Some of those options may include:

Federal Pell Grant: A need-based grant that does not need to be repaid.
Direct subsidized loan: A low-interest loan for students with financial need where the government pays the interest while you are still enrolled in school.
Direct unsubsidized loan: A low-interest loan available to all students regardless of financial need, which starts to accrue interest immediately.
Direct PLUS Loan: A federal loan available to parents of dependent students.
Private scholarships: Awards funded by organizations based on merit, need, or other criteria. You do not have to repay awards from scholarships.
Private loans: Loans from banks, credit unions, or other financial institutions.
VA benefits: Education benefits for military veterans and their families.

Who Can Recieve Federal Student Aid?
As an accredited school, students enrolled in our 1800-hour barber program or 750-hour advanced esthetics program may be eligible for federal financial aid if they qualify. Basic eligibility requirements for federal financial aid include:

A demonstrated financial need
U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
Valid social security number
Have a high school diploma or GED
Maintain satisfactory academic progress while in school
Must not be in default or overpayment in any type of Federal Student Aid funds, including grants and student loans

Which programs are eligible for federal student aid?

Not all LaBarberia Institute of Hair programs are eligible for federal student aid. However, students enrolled in our 1800-hour Barber and 750-hour advanced esthetics courses may be eligible for federal funds. If you are enrolled in one of our other programs, talk to the Financial Aid department about payment plans and other options.

How much federal student aid could I be eligible for?

LaBarberia Institute of Hair cannot estimate how much financial aid you may be eligible for through federal funding. The best and only way to determine eligibility is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is free to fill out and complete, and you can do so at no obligation. We strongly encourage you to fill out the FAFSA even if you don’t believe you’ll be eligible for any funding.

What if federal student aid isn't enough?

There are various options available to students on top of federal student aid, such as scholarships, payment plans, or private loans. We also offer a generous payment plan. If you have concerns about the cost of your education after receiving your Award Letter, contact the financial aid department to explore your options.

Can I pay my tuition over time?

In some cases, yes. LaBarberia Institute of Hair offers payment plans for students enrolled in our programs. You may be able to spread the cost of your training out over your enrollment period. Learn more about payment options by contacting the Financial Aid department.
